Christopher studied both art and architecture, and aims to bridge the gap between the two. He sees working with community groups as a way to bring more creativity into the local environment. He uses a range of materials: clay, plaster, stone and metal, as well as wood, and works with the interplay between structure and spontaneity. Recently he has been learning about hand tools for woodworking and enjoys being closer to the wood and being linked to the history of craft. He lives in Mortlake and has a workshop in the Borough of Merton.
