The Furzedown Oak Community Project was a constituted voluntary organisation, comprised of artists and other interested people. From the outset, we aimed to involve as many people as possible in the process of making artworks from the timber.
We ran workshops and worked with schools, churches and other local organisations to find sites for the sculptures, develop them and raise funds.
After 5 years of work we celebrated the end of the project with the OaKomotion! Carnival. Click here to read the blog about this day-long event.
